Ethics Workshop: Informed Consent in Evolving Practice

Please let us know if you would like to register for our winter ethics workshop on “Informed Consent in Evolving Practice: Modern Ethics and Emerging Technologies.” As psychologists, we know informed consent is foundational to ethical care—but with virtual services, digital documentation, and rapidly emerging technologies, our practices must evolve, too.
This three-hour virtual workshop offers a practical and thought-provoking review of informed consent in today’s professional landscape. Led by Dr. Mitch Colp, R. Psych, the session will explore key ethical principles, regulatory guidance, and real-world examples from both clinical and assessment contexts. We’ll also discuss how telepsychology, digital data systems, and AI are transforming how we think about and carry out consent. You’ll leave with clear, actionable strategies to enhance transparency, protect client privacy, and uphold autonomy in your work.
